The Rev. Marcus Ollis
Pastor Ollis has served Beth Eden since October of 2012. He is a native of Catawba County, growing up in the St. Stephens area. His undergraduate degree came from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. At WCU he studied psychology and sociology. He attended Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC and was ordained in June of 2002. His wife Erin is also a native of Catawba County, having grown up in the Balls Creek area. She attended Western Carolina University. They have four young boys Daniel, James, Jacob, and Benjamin.
Jennifer began as Beth Eden's secretary in January of 2015. She grew up in Newton and attended Wake Forest University, where she majored in Health & Exercise Science. After graduation, Jennifer worked as Pharmaceutical Sales Representative in Fayetteville, NC prior to returning to Catawba County. She then worked as a Paramedic.
Jennifer is married to John, and the couple have three children, Keegan (b. 2002), Carter (b. 2010) and Kensington (b. 2013).
Choir Director & Organist
Linda Faulk is Beth Eden’s organist and choir director who began her music ministry with us in January 2014. She has 31 years of experience as an organist and music assistant, having worked at churches in Tennessee, Mississippi and North Carolina.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Linda currently lives in Morganton with her husband, Paul, and their two cats, Teeny and Bugs. The couple also have an adult son, Stephen, who lives in Cary and works as a lab technician in the research department for Duke University.
Pianst, Early Service
Jane is the Pianist for the 8:15 a.m. service, and has been since the early service began 20+ years ago. She has served as the Organist in 3 area churches, and is currently serving as interim Organist at Bethany UCC in Claremont.
Jane was born in Florence, KY, but moved to NC at a year old. She grew up in a Lutheran parsonage, and moved all over NC. She currently lives in Conover, with her husband Joe. They have two great children, and six grandchildren. She is a retired educator, a volunteer for the Relay for the American Cancer Society, and numerous other community activities.
